City courthouse

The receptionist at the front desk is very condescending and rude. My father is in bad mental health at the moment and she was very disrespectful to him when preparing the papers for the court reading.My father was a bit nervous and lost and she made him feel like trash. I told her to treat my father with respect, because my father is not in the best shape, she responded by saying: “if you continue you’re going to go outside”. Then she told the guard to make me wait in the hall. The guard was very nice, he was just doing his job and I wasn’t there to start problems so I just waited in the hall.I couldn’t even be there to support my father and brother. There should be a more professional employee working at the front desk who can empathize with people and treat everyone with respect and dignity. The judge was courteous and fair.

I'm going to share my entire experience with the courthouse and the RCMP for the benefit of others. Initially I called the police to ask for a peace bond, they told me that because I was seeking the peace bond against a brother in law that it was a family matter so I needed to apply for a family protection order. I went to the courthouse at 10am, filled out the order and waited in the courthouse until 4pm for the judge to tell me that a brother in law isn't considered my family and that the family protection order wasn't viable in my case. I called the RCMP, the same people who told me to apply for the family protection order and then they said to apply for a peace bond. I was already in the courthouse for six hours. Why didn't anyone tell me then? The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing

The building of the Montreal Courthouse is one of the most imposing buildings in the older part of the city. It is hard to ignore a building of its bulk, style and stature, especially in view of its location in a neighborhood that proudly calls itself Old Montreal". If I could give a minus 1, I would!! Instead of having their cops on the roads they are at Nordik Spa checking for Ontario cars that forgot to renew their license plates, totally unbelievable. That is why I will never go back! And Nordik spa, should give a heads up to all Ontario drivers when they come in.

Qu'est qu'on peux dire sur un palais de justice.... Pas grand chose. Si vous devez y allez je vous souhaite que c'est pour les bonnes choses comme un mariage. L'endroit est facile d'accès et si vous chercher un stationnement en ville abordable les soirs et fin de semaine c'est l’endroit ou allez.

Worst courthouse ever. I explained everything to the juge only to realize when she gave the verdict that she did not understand a thing of what I explained to her even though I talked to her in a structured manner and all but I realized afterwards that she only asked irrelevant questions to confuse me and use that against me to say that I wan't prepared... Should never go without a lawyer to defend you.

Understaffed and Unhelpful.there's only 3 / 4 people working each day and wait times are very long.also need to do your own research if you have any question /issues. The staff will give you bare minimum answers so If you were supposed to do something extra or special, don't depend on them to let you know. Or you'll face major consequences later on.

They do what they are supposed to do. Reduce fine without even asking you to, give you time to pay if you are not able to pay immediately, not sure why the ratings are so low. Parking is always available, hours are as mentioned on the web. All the traffic related offences and fines are dealt over the phone and in person.No reason to berate this place.Thumbs up.
